The Beaver Rapids was Lightwater Valley's premier water ride until its removal in 2002. The ride was located where Wild River Rapids now stands and most people wish it still did stand there. The removal left the park with a major gap, a good wet water ride.

Beaver Rapids was not a permanent Log Flume but Lightwater Valley did all they can to try and make it look permanent. Riders would board their log-themed boat that sat upto 4 people, and then you were off into the flume channel. The first turn to would take you upto on the lift hill, climbing 23ft.

The boat would make a turn and slowly approach the edge of the first drop, riders would be sent splashing down 20ft. However that was nothing compared to what was coming up! The water would guide you around a bend and up onto a 2nd lift hill, all the way up 36ft! You would be provided a look of the drop that is before you, the log would be then sent plummeting down 30ft created a fantastic splash! The camera would snap those terrified faces, ready for you to buy at the end of the ride.

The log would make its final turn into the station for the soaked passengers to get off. You would make your way to down the exit path to be greeted with your on ride photo!

Overall The Beaver Rapids were a splash-tastic ride despite its travelling appearance!

The Beaver Rapids replaced the boats on the small lake that was extended to make room for the flume ride in 2000.

The Beaver Rapids were manufactured by Reverchon and the model is slightly bigger than the travelling versions. There were 5 logs in total giving a total of 600 people per hour on the ride. The ride was removed in 2002 ending its short 3 season stay at the park. Vidam Park in Hungary now own and operate the ride.
