Deep underground, lain dormant and undiscovered for millions of years, a once abandoned mineshaft has been re-awakened... this year, feel the terror as you enter the abyss of darkness that is the subterranean underworld of Raptor Attack – Lightwater Valley's brand new roller coaster experience for 2010.

As you take the terrifying walk down into the bowels of this cold, dark mineshaft, the hair stands up on the back of your neck as you sense a creature watching you from the folds of darkness. Did you imagine it? What was that noise? Was that breath on the back of my neck? Is something following me?

Then, as your disused mine train speeds through the long forgotten tunnels, nobody hears you scream as your voice echoes against the cold, dark rock face and you wonder if you’ll ever see daylight again. Raptors once ruled the earth – maybe they’re still here!

Raptor Attack used to operate under the name 'Rat Ride' bewteen 1987 and 2009, before it was rethemed into the jurassic mine adventure you see today!

A new PLC and updates to the braking system allowed increased throughout, whilst RTC Projects were the company behind the project, from planning to implementation! The ride was designed by Ingenieur Büro Stengel GmbH and was manufactured by Schwarzkopf.
