The name maybe a bit daunting but this ride is far from it. Trauma Tower would suggest a ride that is terrifying and high in the sky. If you were thinking this, think again. This ride is no bigger than your average house.

Despite its size Trauma Tower is a good enjoyable ride, especially for the younger ones. As tired parents watch on, riders are lifted up and dropped back down, again and again. This ride can be very unpredictable, you never know when you’re going to drop. No matter how old you are, the tension is always there!

As with most tower rides, you may get a tingly sensation in your stomach, otherwise known as butterflies, when you drop. The drops are quite small but they do give some airtime which is a good plus.

After a number of drops you must leave the ride, however if there are no queues you can stay on for quite along time if you wish! Located next to the Pub in the Wood, Trauma Tower can be seen as you make your way to the park entrance, you can also hear the screams of falling riders.

Trauma Tower is not really themed but does have the Lightwater Valley logo at the top, which gives it a permanent attraction look. Aswell as that, the ride has the words Trauma Tower on the ride itself and a light bulb sphere at the top. A row of 5 comfy seats at either side of the tower give this ride a low throughput. This ride really has its ups and downs!

Overall Trauma Tower is a fantastic ride for little thrill seekers but it is unworthy of its traumatic name!

Trauma Tower was manufactured by Moser Rides in Italy and was brought over to Lightwater Valley for the 2004 season. It was another addition the park’s ever growing selection of flat rides.

The ride has a low throughput of just 300 people per hour but queues are usually quite minimal anyway.
